Co-op Dan used a phototransfer process to move a printed image to a piece of plywood, and then cut it with the Lasersaur for a custom-made jigsaw puzzle featuring his own photography! A perfect gift for Mother’s Day!

We are thrilled for current co-op Dalton and former co-op Adam on their recent success at the SAEBaja competition in Tennessee! These guys led the team to earn a third-place finish overall: the best results in Northeastern’s history!
Dalton drives in the acceleration event: 300-feet as fast as possible!

The team with their trophies and a new pressure washer prize!

The car’s final build. Congratulations, NU Baja!
Just when it seemed she couldn’t be outdone, Adrienne once again delivered a delicious and formidable masterpiece. To celebrate Josh’s birthday, she baked constructed this chocolate-cheesecake-caramel-peanut butter cup beauty, and it weighed in at … (wait for it) … thirteen pounds!

This week, a group of Fiksters went to see the Milk Carton Kids perform at the Brighton Music Hall. As office-radio regulars, the Milk Carton Kids did not disappoint with their live show! Even Molly Tuttle, Berklee-based opening act, was a show-stopper. The next day in the office, Trevor brought out the backpacker guitar…next stop: the stage of Brighton Music Hall!

What a crazy day. If you ask me, it was even a bit irrational. Our celebrations were never-ending. And when the CNC was squeaking, we said “someone better Euler!” …Get it? Oil ‘er?
Okay that was pretty bad. To make up for it, here’s a photo of our celebratory pies! How many did we make, you ask?

3.14 of course!

Michelle dreamed up and designed this beautiful guitar plaque, and used the Lasersaur to cut and engrave the piece in hardwood before sanding and finishing it by hand! Just one of many creative side-projects from the office!

Some more entries in the Fikst Cake Hall of Fame! Adrienne made these gems for Em’s and Paul’s birthdays!

Yup, that’s a cookie dough-cheesecake-Devil’s food cake.
And the dino makes his triumphant return!
Fikst: a tasty place to work! (And hey, we’re up to 45 push-ups a day, so I think it all evens out!)
In a blizzard, most companies shut down for fear of treacherous conditions.
Ours goes skiing.
We cleaned the cars…
We bundled up…
And we hit the slopes!

Then made some pies!
Okay, just Dalton made a pie. But we all ate it. It was as tasty as it was beautiful.

Thanks Doug, Paul, and Nemo for an awesome ski weekend!
